Currently an Executive Vice-president of strategic development for Zaro Transportation, LLC. a Texas-based international logistics company providing long haul, door-to-door transportation services. He is responsible for leading several strategic initiatives including the expansion of cross-border growth opportunities, the implementation of strategic initiatives, and the establishment of relationships with key capital providers and stakeholders.
Previously, Enrique served as president of Hunt Mexico, Inc. where he was responsible for a portfolio of projects and investments in the energy, electricity, renewables, real estate development and investments sectors in Mexico. He also served as Senior Vice-president of Hunt Power, L.P. in charge of the group’s development activities in the Southwest region of the US.
During his professional career, Enrique has been a strong supporter for the integration of the cross-border economies and participates in several councils focused on enriching and strengthening the ties between Mexicoand the United States mainly the John Goodwin Tower Center for Political Studies of SMU, the Mission Foods Texas Mexico Center, and the Wilson Center Mexico Institute. He has also served on the board of the US Mexico Energy Business Council, and the Sun Corridor Inc, an economic development agency based in Tucson, AZ He holds an MBA from the Edwin L. Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, a master's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Waterloo, and a BS in Chemical and Systems Engineering from Monterrey Tech graduating with honors.
Enrique has been a strong advocate of practical training programs between academic institutions and private sector companies and has mentored and supported the development of high school and college students from diverse backgrounds and nationalities.
Enrique and Lucia have 3 children: Emilia (21), a senior at Boston College, Enrique (18), a senior attending Jesuit Preparatory Academy in Dallas, and Ana Lucia (14), an eighth-grader at Christ the King School in Dallas. They live in Preston Hollow with their two dogs, Diva and Luna.
